Cedars Park Residents – WE NEED YOUR HELP
Broadband speeds on our estate vary dramatically eg regardless of the speed
which you were promised when you signed up, one person may get 6Mb another
under 1Mb. The issue arose recently when some households noticed a drop in
speeds/loss of network, which despite ISP’s help have been unresolved. BT is
aware but sends out engineers who do not have the equipment to test the higher
frequencies required by Broadband.
With more people working from home than ever this deficiency is causing severe
problems. ISP’s are selling us 6-8MB and it appears some are getting this –
many are not. We need to gather data on actual speeds if we are to be able to
press BT to acknowledge and resolve the issues.
We are asking all households to check your speeds independently of what you have
been told/sold and if you are not getting these speeds please contact your ISP
and push for action. The more people who do this the more we have a case to put
to BT. It will help us a lot if you complete the information requested, using
the website below. If you are getting good speeds, again we need to hear from
you, so that we can see where the pockets/problem areas are, as this will help
BT in investigations.

you posted of any news via the web site. If as we now suspect there is a
significant problem on the estate we will be looking at getting the local press
and MP involved to get BT to resolve the issues so we can all enjoy faster
Broadband.
