Controversial plans for the new village centre have received a double setback. Stowmarket Town Council have now rejected the current proposal. In addition, following road-safety concerns expressed by Councillor Eleanor Ramsay, Suffolk Highways authority is to recommend that Mid-suffolk District Council refuse permission.
MSDC is not obliged to follow Highways Authority advice, but with over 200 objections now lodged by residents, its going to be hard for them to ignore!
