Access to the A14 slip road from the Creeting Road is to continue via the present Sheepcote Hall link. The long-term planning objective is to close this access because it creates potentially dangerous two-way traffic on the westbound A14 slip road. However, County Highways lacks both the land, and the funds, necessary to create an alternative link between Creeting Road and the Tesco roundabout. As a result, they state that ‘there are no proposals at present to proceed with the closure of the access on to the A14’.
