Committee members attended two meetings on Thursday the 28th of June . The first was a Tasking Meeting with the Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team at Stowmarket Police Station. This is new policing project The meeting was chaired by Paul Sharp the District Commander
These meetings will be held and results reviewed on a regular basis i.e monthly; the objective is to put in place specific areas of concern to task; i.e. concentrate on.
As you will know we come under Stowmarket North but our main concerns are those of Cedars Park Residents. To that end we have asked for the following to be tasked in the first month. Play areas ,vandalism, speeding, general anti social behavior in its many forms.We do realise that vehicle parking is a problem in some areas, but in the main it would be good if we could encourage all residents to have a bit of consideration for others

The second meeting was with our newly elected County Councillor Alastair Liddell, to whom were outlined many items of concern i.e the proposed container depot things not carried out by councils or developers the position of school signs etc etc. Lets hope in his new role he will get behind them.
